MLT247   Italian Intermediate Accelerated   (20 credits)

Year Running: 2019/2020
Credit level: Based on the level of the student

Description

Assuming a good GCSE level in the language or equivalent and a sound experience of second-language acquisition, this unit covers the Intermediate 1 and 2 units, providing the linguistic and cultural skills to start interacting and socializing in a fairly authentic and spontaneous way with native speakers in a range of advanced but usually predictable situations which would be encountered during, for instance, a short stay or placement abroad (CEF level B1+). Based on 60 hours of small group (15-20) interactive seminars and tutorials predominantly delivered in the foreign language, the unit also comprises 140 hours of monitored private study. https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/mltc/lfa/courses/italian/stage_2_accelerated
